Walter T. Rueff, Ph.D.

Dr. Rueff is a native Jacksonian and graduate of St. Andrew’s Episcopal School in Ridgeland, MS. He graduated with honors from Millsaps College, earning a BS in psychology and human services and the Gordon Alport Award for Psychology. Dr. Rueff earned his M.A. and Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Mississippi in Oxford. He completed his internship at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN, where he specialized in adult psychotherapy, forensic psychology, and intervention and assessment of chronic pain. After his doctoral training, Dr. Rueff completed a clinical psychology fellowship in interdisciplinary mental health at the Alvin C. York VA Medical Center in Murfreesboro, TN.

Dr. Rueff is experienced in treating and assessing a broad variety of mental health issues. He specializes in treating anxiety and trauma-related disorders, including Generalized Anxiety, Specific Phobia, OCD, Panic Disorder, and PTSD. He also has expertise with various assessment needs, including psychoeducational (ADHD, Learning Disability, Giftedness/IQ, testing accommodations), pre-procedure (spinal cord stimulator, bariatric surgery), and specialized personality and forensic evaluations.

Dr. Rueff is licensed in Mississippi and Alabama and is accepting new patients.

James D. Broussard, Ph.D.

Dr. James Broussard is originally from Southwestern Louisiana. He began his professional career in the United States Air Force as an electronics specialist for A-10 and F-16 fighter aircraft. After receiving an honorable discharge, he earned his B.S. in psychology from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Dr. Broussard earned his M.A. and Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University at Albany, the flagship school of the State University of New York system. He completed his internship and clinical residency training at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston, TX, where he specialized in addictions and severe mental illness. Throughout his career, Dr. Broussard has engaged in clinical research and is a published author on various topics focusing on behavioral health issues. Dr. Broussard has also received numerous awards for his clinical, research, and service contributions within clinical psychology.

Dr. Broussard is experienced in treating and assessing a broad variety of mental health issues. He specializes in treating addictive disorders, anxiety disorders, and mood disorders such as Major Depression, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, Substance Use Disorders, and Behavioral Addictions (e.g., Gambling Disorder and Gaming Disorder). He also has expertise with various treatment modalities, including individual and group psychotherapy. Dr. Broussard is also skilled in assessing intellectual functioning and diagnostic testing.
