Sydney Butler, MS, P-LPC

PROVISIONALLY-LICENSED PROFESSIONAL COUNSELOR

Sydney Butler is a Mississippi native and a graduate of Madison Central High School in Madison, Mississippi.  She graduated with honors from Mississippi State University where she earned her B.S. in psychology and worked as a research assistant in the Metacognition Research Lab.  For graduate studies, Sydney attended Mississippi College where she earned a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.  Over the course of her graduate training, Sydney completed multiple internships where she was able to receive specialized training in a variety of important mental health issues.  Her focuses include the diagnosis and treatment of substance use disorders, utilizing trauma informed care with adults, as well as the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of mental health disorders in children, adolescents, and adults – including grief, behavioral issues, family conflict, anxiety, and depression.  Sydney emphasizes a compassionate, evidence-based, empirically-informed approach with clients she serves.

Sydney is a nationally certified counselor (NCC) and is provisionally licensed in the state of Mississippi.  She is currently accepting new clients.
