Tanja Seifan, Ph.D.

CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST

Dr. Seifen is a German native. She graduated with a B.S. and M.S. in psychology from the University of Bonn in Germany. Dr. Seifen earned her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from the University of Mississippi in Oxford, MS in 2019. She completed a one-year predoctoral internship in child and pediatric psychology at the UAB-BVAMC Internship Consortium in Birmingham, AL. During her internship year, Dr. Seifen received interdisciplinary training in Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) to improve the health of infants, children, and adolescents with disabilities.

Dr. Seifen is experienced in providing evidence-based services for a broad variety of childhood and adolescent mental health issues and developmental disorders. She specializes in the assessment and treatment of neurodevelopmental disabilities (e.g., ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder). Dr. Seifen offers psychoeducational (e.g., ADHD, Specific Learning Disorders, Giftedness/ IQ testing) and autism-specific diagnostic testing (e.g., ADOS-2). She has expertise in treating common emotional disorders andbehavior problems providing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Parent Management Training (PMT). Dr. Seifen also offers Social Skills Training for social-communication deficits related to diagnoses of ASD and ADHD.
