Yelena Johnson, Ph.D.

CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST

Dr. Yelena Johnson completed her undergraduate degree at Tulane University in New Orleans and earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Mississippi in Oxford, MS. She completed her doctoral internship in pediatric psychology at Mount Washington Pediatric Hospital in Baltimore, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at Emory School of Medicine/Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta in the Cancer and Blood Disorders Center in Atlanta.

Currently, she is licensed to practice in Mississippi and Louisiana. In addition to her clinical private practice, Dr. Johnson works as a pediatric psychologist in New Orleans, providing consultation and liaison for patients in the primary care setting.

Dr. Johnson is committed to providing evidence-based interventions and has a strong background in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). Dr. Johnson specializes in the treatment of anxiety, depression, and behavior problems. She enjoys working with children, adolescents, and caregivers of all backgrounds and cultural identities.

Dr. Johnson accepts new patients, and all appointments are provided via telehealth.
