Sharon Sherinian, LCSW-S

LICENSED CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKER

Sharon Sherinian is a native Mississippian. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English from Mississippi State University before joining the United States Air Force. After serving five years of active-duty service as a flight linguist and combat Veteran, she received an honorable discharge. She attended the University of Oklahoma, where she obtained her Master of Social Work degree, graduating Summa Cum Laude. She traveled with her active-duty husband and two sons throughout the United States and Europe, where she worked in various capacities as a licensed master’s level social worker. She obtained clinical supervision once she returned to the United States at the California State Prison, Sacramento, adjacent to the world-famous Folsom prison.

She has experience working with multiple populations, including active-duty military members and their spouses, veterans, senior and child clients, as well as incarcerated persons. She has training in various evidence-based practices such as Prolonged Exposure (PE), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) for the treatment of a variety of mental health issues including depression, anxiety, insomnia, and PTSD.

Sharon is licensed in California and Mississippi and board-qualified in Mississippi to supervise LMSWs for licensure. She provides individual therapy for adults via telehealth or in person and offers limited night or weekend services. She is currently accepting new clients.
