Elizabeth Nosen, Ph.D.

CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST

Dr. Nosen has been providing evidence-based assessment and therapy since 2005. She specializes in treating adults experiencing anxiety, posttraumatic stress, depression, insomnia, alcohol and substance use. She primarily works from a cognitive-behavioral approach, tailoring treatments to help you develop insight, learn new coping methods, and plan strategic changes to help you meet your personal goals. Dr. Nosen is trained in several specialized types of therapy protocols, including Prolonged Exposure (PE), Cognitive Processing (CPT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Retraining (EMDR), and Motivational Interviewing (MI), among others.

Dr. Nosen received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC, Canada, and completed her internship and postdoctoral fellowship training at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. She has served as an investigator on grant-funded studies of trauma and substance use. She has authored numerous journal articles and book chapters on these topics.

Licensed in Mississippi, Dr. Nosen is available evenings and weekends. All appointments are provided through video telehealth. She is currently accepting new clients.
